About Dr. Manov

Dr. Ludmil Manov, M.D. is a board-certified Adult, Child & Adolescent psychiatrist with over 30 years of clinical experience. Prior to beginning his private practice, Dr. Manov treated patients at Intermountain Health Care and Primary Children’s Hospital. He specializes in the treatment of mood disorders and ADHD.

Dr. Manov takes a highly individualized approach with all patients. Through a combination of medication and talk therapies, depending on your preference, he strives to construct a sustainable plan to significantly improve your quality of life.

Dr. Manov believes that healing is possible for anyone. Whether you achieve a small improvement to your level of functioning or a complete cure depends mostly on your will. You can achieve significant improvement through commitment to the treatment process.

Anxiety

Anxiety is characterized by an excessive state of uneasiness or apprehension, typically accompanied by compulsive behavior and panic attacks. Anxiety-related conditions include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, General Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Panic Disorder. The appearance of anxiety in daily life can be minimized, and sometimes eliminated, through the dedicated work of the patient. 


ADD/ADHD

ADD/ADHD is a disorder with the continuity of attention. Although it is not an emotional disorder in and of itself, the existance of ADHD can lead to emotional problems whose elimination can lead to a significantly improved quality of life. 

ADHD is best managed through a combination of behavioral therapy and medication, where appropriate.


Depression

Depression is characterized by feelings of severe despondency and dejection. The type and severity of a depression can vary widely among individuals, depending on neurological and environmental factors. 


Bipolar

Bipolar disorder is characterized by manic and depressive episodes, or manic episodes only. The illness sometimes follows individualized patterns.
